I’ve been a full time youth minister [15 years] and then a campus minister at a school. [last five years]
I’m jumping BACK into youth ministry!
Aubrey is funny, strange and creative. He recently asked his upperclassman students to describe “his vibe” to people that didn’t know him, as it’s awkward to describe oneself.
Madi said, a little too quickly— “Your vibe is a theme park dad/tourist/mountain man.” Hahaha
Dani added— “You enjoy awkward. You like to sit down with groups of random students, ask questions, and just figure out where everybody fits.”
THIS. This is the best description I’ve ever had as to what approach works for me in youth ministry.
